Make sure to fasten buttons on clothes before putting them into the washing machine, as they can easily get tangled and pull threads, especially on delicate materials. Avoid items with zippers or rough trim.
Wash in cold water: Wash your cotton clothes in cold water to prevent shrinkage and preserve the color.

Tumble dry on low heat or air dry: To prevent shrinkage, tumble dry your cotton clothes on low heat or air dry. Remove them from the dryer promptly to prevent wrinkles.

Iron if necessary: If your cotton clothes need ironing, use a medium to high heat setting and iron on the wrong side of the fabric to avoid damaging the fibers.

Cotton clothing should be stored in a cool, dry place.
